Dear Parents and Children, welcome to Jing's Gymnastics & Dance!
Please allow me to introduce myself; my name is Jing Yang and I am the Director and Head Coach of Jing's Gymnastics and Dance.
At the age of five I was selected from thousands of children and began to receive rigid and comprehensive gymnastic training. My training was directly managed by the Government Athletic Boarding School - Shichahai Athletic School of Beijing (SASB). All the children in this special school were strictly supervised and trained, systematically and professionally, targeting the future International Championships.
At the age of eleven, I was selected as a member of the Beijing Women's Gymnastic Team. From 1982 to 1988 I had numerous achievements at National and International gymnastic competitions. I received the title of Athletic Merit, which is the highest award Nationally. In 1987 and 1988 I was twice selected as a member of the National Women's Gymnastic Team of China, this is one of the top three gymnastic teams worldwide. In 1985 and 1986 I represented the nation of China and traveled to the countries of France, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, and the Soviet Union for International competitions. I took the Bronze Medal at the 1988 Olympics.
After retiring from my professional competitive gymnastics career, I started coaching the Women's Gymnastics Team of Beijing. At the same time I attended Beijing College of Athletics and Kinesiology; Majoring in gymnastics coaching and I received a degree in 1991.
I moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1999 and have taught Gymnastics & Dance for more than ten years. I am proud to say that I have opened my own school and devote all of myself to providing the students the best professional training program in all the RGV.
The Gymnasium was designed and built around the Olympic "Elite Design" and is furnished with brand new Elite Equipment. The Staff is well experienced and works directly under my supervision. The school is growing every day! Our goal is to provide the highest quality professional gymnastics, cheerleading, and Dance instruction in the RGV.
We continually strive to make every class an enjoyable and worthwhile experience!
